Colonel James Braddock of the Special Forces karate chops his way around Vietnam in search of missing U.S. servicemen.

Rating of 1 stars out of 5
Radio Times

Dispatching Colonel James Braddock to 1980s Vietnam to find both the wife he believed dead and the son he never knew he had, this is a sequel too far for Chuck Norris and his director brother Aaron. Not only is this gung-ho actioner morally dubious, but it's also exceedingly dull. Not a single unexpected incident occurs, as Chuck blasts his way into a compound to rescue Miki Kim and a gaggle of imprisoned children, and blazes his way back through the jungle toting more hi-tech weaponry than a May Day parade on Red Square.

They don't make them like this anymore

James Lambert from London, England, 29th July, 2004

It's the 80's! You've been tortured by people who you've said that you enjoy killing! You can't speak more than 2 words yet ineplicably you end up in bed with a woman diplomate who hates you! You meet your drunk best friend in a Strip club! You kill several hundred people in order to save 4 you don't know and you are RIGHT!!!

Explosions, Gunfire, Nudity and Chuck Norris!! Watch it, your brain will hate you, but you want it really!

How to take Nam apart on your own!!!!

Jonathan Turner from Redditch, England, 3rd March, 2004

Think of 'Rambo First Blood Part II', then replace Sly Stallone with Chuck Norris and you have 'Missing In Action'.

The plot is thiner than bog roll, its pro US all the way, so not really a thought provoking piece of work, and the dialogue is bad at best.

However the production values ain't bad for 1984, big explosions and nice locations, but there are far better Nam films out there.

So unless your a huge Chuck Norris fan (and lets face it who isn't??!!) don't bother!

Good thriller

A Customer from HAMPSHIRE, 18th March, 2006

Although not as good as Delta Force, this early Chuck Norris film is still a good film with plenty of run and gun action. Reccomended to any action fan looking for a good film when there is nothing on the television.

Chuck Norris karate chops the entire Vietnamese army!

A Customer from Orpington, 30th August, 2009

This is an exciting, old-school action flick. It is fun to go back to the heyday of action cinema. Chuck Norris is great as James Braddock, kicking ass as an almost invincible soldier, while uttering some cool one-liners! They definitely don't make films like this anymore! There are no computer special-effects, but that's one of the things that makes it good. Just good old-fashioned action and adventure! It is still a great big action film, he fights with karate and does a lot of his own stunts, which is always good, except for certain impossible things, or those too dangerous for the actor. Anyone who watches this film and has seen the Rambo films (also classic action flicks) will get a feeling that they've seen this all before in Rambo First Blood Part II, which follows the storyline of Sylvester Stallone going back into Vietnam to save American GIs, exactly what happens in Missing in Action too. But apart from that it's still an enjoyable story, and it proves as always, like Arnie, Sly Stallone, you don't mess with Chuck Norris! Very 80s, Cold-War minded, so don't be surprised if the Vietnamese are portrayed as evil bad guys, because being an action flick, it's just black and white that way. But if you just want to relax and watch a fun action film, check it out! Two thumbs up!
