If teenaged Ethan and his younger sister Hallie put every toy in Macy's on their Christmas list, it still wouldn't include what they want most. They want a miracle - they want their divorced parents back together! With lots of humor, heart and yuletide sparkle, All I Want For Christmas is all you could want in a family film treat. Ethan Randall (Dutch) and Thora Birch (Patriot Games) play the siblings who come up with a hilarious plan to reunite their parents (Harley Jane Kozak and Jamey Sheridan). Movie legend Lauren Bacall plays the sympathetic grandmother who assists the kids. And Leslie Nielsen (The Naked Gun. films) appears as Santa Claus. So what is the plan? Ho-ho-ho! Aren't you in for a surprise!

Radio Times

A rather ham-fisted attempt to spice up a children's Christmas movie with a more “mature” theme. The only thing Ethan Randall and Thora Birch want for Christmas is for their separated parents to be back under the same roof again. Will they never learn? Lauren Bacall is way over the top as their batty but bountiful granny and everything creaks along, coated liberally in sentiment. This is not meant for cynical adults, but is aimed nearer the 12-year-old market, where it will probably be received as a passable hoot. However, it bombed in its day.

Christmas Cheer

A Customer from Starcross, Devon, 6th January, 2005

It's a perfect Christmas 'feel good' film. Ideal for children and those young at heart who still believe in Father Christmas. He certainly delivers something for everyone in this film. The relationship between the big brother and the younger sister is an example to all siblings everywhere!

Getting into the Christmas Spirit

A Customer from Sussex, 2nd November, 2005

I know it is a bit early for Christmas films but a good film to bribe the children with! Throw on one off this type of film every so often between now and Christmas and it works wonders on my childrens behaviour! From now on it is Christmas is coming behave!

Drop This From Your List

Blackacre from Kent, 9th May, 2005

A trite and unsurprising film, with little to recommend it. The script was dull, the story unsurprising and the actors only marginal. Drop this one in favour of Elf for a little New York Ho Ho.
