The Trap

Saw this film on the cinema and the scenery is breathtaking. British Columbia part of the Canadian rockies and this film is as good as a holiday brochure, oh by the way , the film is brilliant with Rita Tushingham taking the part of a 'mute' who has been purchased by a french trapper (Reed) The fight against wolves is brilliant as well as the medical treatment that the trapper has to have performed on him in the outback. Order this dvd when it is available you will not be disappointed. The sound track is also well known to London Marathon runners

The trap

I saw this when I was a little girl and again about 15 years ago, it is Oliver Reed at his best, Rita Tushingham plays the part brilliantly and the story is quite unique. I agree that the scenery is absolutely breathtaking, it certainly made me want to visit Canada. I consider it a timeless classic.

I watched this film when it first came out on the cinema. Even now when I watch it I think it was a very good film and especially good for Canadian tourism. The scenes are breathtaking and make you want to experience them for yourself. If only! Rita Tushingham plays the part well with her pleading eyes and Oliver Reed is, as always, larger than life.OK so I'm a tad biased but this is a classic for everyones film library.
