One of the worst films I've ever seen

Alex Finch from London, England, 6th May, 2007

I'm a big fan of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, from South Park to BasketBall, Orgazmo to Team America they rarely put a foot wrong, but this film really is painful to watch. It should have been a lot of fun - but it's just so obvious and painful. Lacking in any kind of subtlety whatsoever, all we have here is a collection of predictable jokes and bad musical numbers - which is amazing considering that Parker and Stone are responsible for South Park The Movie, one of the finest musicals ever. The three or four main actors are fine, but everyone else seems to have been pulled off the street and just given a dodgy beard to wear, the plot goes nowhere for absolutely ages and it just drags and drags, before the ending is seemingly rushed, you won't mind though and will just be glad it's finally over. If the quality of the jokes were better it wouldn't matter about the dodgy acting and low quality sets, but so many of them are stolen from far superior movies, and the original ones are just plain bad. If you've never seen a comedy before, and you're very very drunk, you might like this, but otherwise you'll find yourself bored throughout and struggling to make it to the end.

Tired of being sick? Sick of being poor?

Martin Edwards from Crystal palace, London, 19th August, 2004

This is a Troma film, so it's easy to get put off by the general crapiness of the production. Having said that Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Dian Bachar are in it and that to anyone in the know, is enough. Funny and just plain odd, with some great songs.
Spadoinkle! Let's build a snowman!

Early Trey Parker

A Customer from Norwich, 23rd January, 2005

This film is a work of genius, absolutely hilarious from the songs to the Chinese Indians! Anyone who has enjoyed Orgasmo will be sure to love this.

Never go to Utah

A Customer from Brighton, 5th March, 2008

First movie by Southpark writers Trey and Parker, if you have never seen it, get it out because it is so stupidly funny. 'The sky is blue and all the leaves are green. The Sun's as warm as a baked potato'

Would b hard 2 make a worse film

A Customer from Poole, 6th January, 2009

Loved Orgasmo, Baseketball, Team America and South Park...Hated this! Everything was so predictable, and the story spent forever heading nowhere, and then suddenly a rushed ending! Was glad when it finished!

Masterpiece with a small budget

Jenniferv82 from from Tywyn, 14th March, 2008

This is a great movie to watch when your in one of those silly moods. Don't expect much from the quality of the film or special effects. They relied on a small budget and huge amounts of talent. Its digusting and heart-warming at the same time. Love it!!!!!

I wish Trey Parker was my mate...

EssexDal from from Chelmsford, 12th March, 2008

Trey Parker, not at his best, but some great moments. I love Trey Parkers songs, they make this movie as much as they made 'Souh Park BL&U'. Though I feel the songs are alot more PC on the whole, a lot cleaner and alot more sung rather than the usual 'cartman' vocals. Any Trey Parker lover will rate this, but if not, you may find it a little tame and un-eventful. After the opening 15-20 minutes, the pace slows and it does suffer. The Gore is pretty tame, but comical... as a fan, I rated this, but my viewing companions did not.

Watchable but lacking real laughs

A Customer from London, 7th March, 2008

Unfortunately the best thing about this film is the title. The first scene is quite funny and there is the odd good bit (such as when he is trying to make sure that the psycho is dead) but in general the humour is surprisinly gentle and lacking in moments that really hit you and make you laugh.
