Willie says he will give Eugene the lost song Blues song if he springs him from the retirement home and takes him back to his real home in the Mississippi Delta. It is while there that Willie attempts to win his soul back from the devil, having sold it - to be a blues legend - as a young man at a crossroads, in the same way Robert Johnson had before him. The devil says he will return his soul, but only if Eugene can beat his champion in a guitar-playing competition. But if he loses, both Willie's and Eugene's souls will be forfeit...

A big must for blues music lovers.

A Customer from Crawley Sussex., 28th January, 2006

We have seen this on more than 1 occasion and it just gets better each time, the store line works the blues is played well and the final play off kicks some S.h.i.t. Did Eric clapton make it to the cross roads?

I challenge you to a duel

Adam Riach from Keith, Scotland, 25th July, 2005

What can I say the guitar duel in this film is phenominal! Steve Vai and Stevie Ray Vaughan are unbelievable the Karate kid plays Stevie Ray Vaughan's part. The acting might be a little laim but the story of Robert Johnson, some would argue the godfather of moderen rock & blues, is very intresing. If you like the blues or music of quality watch this. If you are intrested in Robert Johnson rent The search for Robert Johnson, it's an american documentary and will tell you more about the mans short yet influential life.

Guitar Duel Ahoy

A Customer from South Wales, 19th June, 2007

Hate to burst a bubble but Stevie Ray Vaughn wasn't there. A bulk of the guitar in the duel was Steve Vai and Ry Cooder.
