Halliwell's Film Guide

Curious two-hander which can please the right audience when it's in the mood; for selling tickets, forget it.

Great film if you're in the mood..

A Customer from London, 9th March, 2009

I love this film - some might hate it however if they don't relax into the flow of the moment. I think it's timeless in its content however certainly a child of the 70s in concept. It must be watched in one sitting and preferably without interruption. If you're up for an experience that makes you think about life etc. rather than 'entertainment' then this is the film for you. An unappreciated masterpiece in its way. I highly recommend it ... and if you're in the right place in your life and in the right mood - you won't be able to thank me enough.

Sorry Louis Malle fans, I thought it was awful. So dated & just excruciating to watch & listen to. Maybe it got better but I suspect not.

Maybe I missed the point, but found it self-indulgent and tedious.

Should have been 1 hour, max

A Customer from Twickenham, 6th December, 2009

I like films which make me think but this was too much. By the end of it, I couldn't care less how they were going to conclude their chat and it felt like an achievement to have watched the whole thing without falling asleep. I'm glad I did watch it though - now I can make sure that I tell everyone I know not to waste 2 hours of their lives sitting through it!
