A nice relaxing comedy

This is a series of ?do`s? but it all starts off with the first do at the wedding of Ted and Rita Simcocks son to Liz and Laurence Rodenhursts daughter, two socially different families thrown together in a social encounter. The laughs soon build up with misunderstandings on both sides and the added bonus of some rather strange friends. Then the fact that the mother of the bride fancies the father of the groom is the main thrust of the first do, and without giving too much away, this attraction continues through the rest of the series. It`s a bit hard to describe the others in the series without giving anything away, but its best to say that you come to care about the rather strange ways the families and friends have to deal with each other.
It`s a well written and acted piece of comedy with many stars of the small screen, and for another bonus you keep noticing well know people playing small parts in the background.
I can remember it first being shown on television and the nights it was on meant that I left the pub early to watch it :-)
