Indiana Jones. I've watched this so many times I can tell you the story off by heart but I still watch it. They don't make films like this anymore. The choice of locations, characters, humour and action all blend well to give the ultimate adventure film.... Brilliant!!!!

The best and final outing

tom87 from Devon, 19th November, 2004

Once again we return to the premise of all Indiana Jones films. It may dance between the fantastical and the adventure, it may have spawned the cliche's, the parodies and it may be something now to the "Classic" section which is almost a euphemism for "Sorry for the bad quality folks, but his was made in the 80's" but whats more it's still fun.

What you have to remember is it looks cliched because it is the cliche, this is the character that spawned whip cracking parodies everywhere, and this is his best outing yet. Harrison Ford is his usual pragmatic sullen whip cracking self, and Sean Connery plays in my opinion one of the best support roles his ever done. Of course the mystical element borders somewhat on the fantastic, but it's that classic good v evil story that at last finds a loveable backround.

Clever it may not be but loads of fun it is and anyone who doesn't come away singing the theme tune has no soul. Enjoy with beer and friends, funny, adventurous and classic!

I was 14 when 'raiders of the lost ark' came out so i rented the first three films to show my kids what indiana jones was like before 'the kingdom of the crystal skull'. it only proved to me that, unlike star wars, 'indeee' hasn't got the legs to become a classic, it's sad but the earlier films look jaded.
