Radio Times

A cheap and cheerful comic-strip adaptation, let down by a plastic performance from Brooke Shields in the title role. She is the annoyingly intrepid ace reporter on the trail of a mad inventor and being pursued by a posse of rival journalists and baddies. It's the latter that are the most fun: the bumbling crooks include Diana Scarwid, Jeffrey Tambor and Henry Gibson, while Timothy Dalton is the smooth romantic interest. There are some camp moments but, sadly, it is not really trashy enough to be truly enjoyable.

Cartoon Capers

This is strictly for fans of Brooke Sheilds, Timothy Dalton, or paper dolls you change outfits on every 5 minutes. This movie is based on a cartoon and they have obviously not worried about fleshing out the characters or going in a new direction with it. There are a few weak gags and Tim Dalton looks great in black, but like 'Dick Tracy' you are left with a candy-floss movie - fun and appealing initially, then more effort than it's worth to finish.

Not stood the test of time-at all!

Nostalgic Rental-associated this film with memorable time past- Thats as far as it goes because by current standards the story line, production values, special effects(Note the part superimposed pole supporting Brooke Shields as she is falling from the Balcony near the beginning)are dire.I guess that this film would not be one to remember for Timothy Dalton either. Picture quality is only so-so (original print quality -not the DVD) Worth watching for curiosity value only!
