This anniversary collection celebrates Hope and his unmistakable brand of humour with a presentation of his 1952 film ROAD TO BALI, co-starring crooner Bing Crosby. The only color road picture Hope and Crosby ever made together, ROAD TO BALI finds the inimitable comedy duo setting out to rescue a native princess (the lovely Dorothy Lamour) from a plethora of jungle dangers.

ROAD TO RUIN

JIM WOOD from CHESHIRE ENGLAND, 7th January, 2005

Really dissapointed with the transfer to DVD. The colour was appalling to say the very least!!! Also sound very poor. This was a well remembered film from childhood and I felt let down as it is almost un watchable. The story is still as funny with Hope and Crosby hamming it up. Whoever released this on DVD in this state should be taken out and shot. It is an insult considering its not that long ago that it was Hopes 100th birthday. hardly the legacy he would want leaving.

Disappointment

A Customer from Worcester Park, 27th October, 2008

i have loved this film for years, but was very disappointed by the quality of the transfer to DVD, which reminded me of bootleg DVDs filmed from the back of the cinema - just terrible.
