Go see this brilliant movie!

A Customer from SW London, 30th October, 2009

If you are looking for a good movie, with plenty of surprises then see this movie. I was pleasantly suprised at how excellent it was seeing as similar British films just were never that impressive for me.50 cents puts in a solid performance as main honcho Mr.Thigo and the rest of the cast, is equally brilliant.Fantastic storyline: a must watch!

Switched off after 10 minutes

czeslaw from , 6th March, 2010

I have been tricked by all the positive reviews. Are you people blind? Ugly actors, poor acting, old fashioned appartments, and ... the accent. I'd prefer to watch an ordinary US TV series.

Beware the curse of 50 cent....

how1ard from , 21st March, 2010

What do I mean by that? He has the midas touch in reverse when it comes to his acting career. He makes Danny Dyer look like Robert De Niro in this harmless, paceless, one dimensional B movie gangster flick. If you like other brit flicks of this nature, The Business, Hard Men et al you're in for a dissapointment. Wooden acting, obvious plot twists, failed humor, mockney rhyming slang It's only saving grace is that it isn't directed by Guy Richie. For a film that is supposed to be all about tension and a race against time this was surprisingly dull.

Watch it !!

A Customer from Hertfordshire, 20th March, 2010

Best film I've seen in ages. I would highly recommend watching this. Excellent soundtrack too although sadly the soundtrack doesn't seem to be for sale anywhere. Ticks all the boxes.

Come on you Brits

A Customer from South England, 20th March, 2010

This film is why I am proud to be British. I thought it would be a low budget piece of tat, but it proved me wrong. I loved it. It was similar to films such as Layer Cake, The Italian Job and even Crank. If those sort of films float your boat, then this will too. The format is a trusted favourite: small time bad boys get into a spot a bother and dash around the countryside trying to get themselves out of it only to find themselves getting into more of a pickle. I say if it works then why change it? It was a job well done and proves you don't need to throw money at a film to make it work. I would have liked some subtitles in places, but it didn't spoil it. Look out for Ashley Cole and Rio Ferdinand in the opening credits as they had a role in financing this one.

Makes you appreciate Guy Ritchie's movies

Scott Thompson from London, England, 19th March, 2010

Never thought I'd say this, but Dead Man Running makes you appreciate Guy Ritchie's style of film making. Lock Stock and Snatch were not my cup of tea, but they were undeniably well made and acted. This nonsense mines the same territory but with zero success. It's sloppily scripted, badly directed (case in point, a rubbish chase scene involving a black cab and police motorcycle that looks like it has been hacked to pieces in the editing suite) with some truly terrible acting. Danny Dyer particularly grates. How many more times can he phone in his 'I'm a geezer, alright?' routine before the acting police lock him up and throw away the key? Really poor. If a Nuts reader were given some money to make a film, this is what they would come up with.
