Starring: Magrit Evelyn Newton | Robert O'Neil | Frank Garfield
Director: Vincent Dawn, Bruno Mattei
Studio: CORNERSTONE MEDIA
Run time: 96 mins
Genres: Horror | Horror
Languages: English
Released: November 02, 2009

This impossibly bad zombie/cannibal movie could only have been filmed by Bruno Mattei, the laughably inept director of films like SS EXTERMINATION LOVE CAMP and RATS: NIGHT OF TERROR. The plot centers around a New Guinea chemical accident that attracts the attention of a SWAT team and a buxom reporter (Newton). When the SWAT team finally penetrates the chemical cloud, they find a race of flesh eating zombies hungry for human flesh. Full of gratuitous nudity, stock footage of natives, animals, and rotting corpses, and inane dialogue, HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD is a hilarious attempt at recreating the magic of the films that inspired it (DAWN OF THE DEAD, ZOMBIE, ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST).

Italian Horror

'Zombie Creeping Flesh', as bad as the title sounds, is a good example of zombie filmaking. This is all you need for a good night (bar beer and crisps) if you're a zombie nut like me. The gore flows thick and fast, and for once the plot and acting aren't that bad.

Definitely recommended for students/fans of the genre.

Those of you who've seen this will be wondering why I've gave it 3 stars. The reason is it is so bad it's hilarious. Half of the music is nicked from Dawn Of The Dead, the footage of animals is from some nature documentary, the dialogue is so cheesy it almost made me lactose intolerant. Marvellous . . .

Pi$$ Poor

DaSilva from from Coventry, 26th February, 2005

A rat somehow gets into the piping of a experimental chemical factory in Ghana then gets infected and eventually bites one of the workers, cue an outbreak of undead syndrome. This film is a total rip off of Romero's 'Dawn of The Dead' from the cut scenes of the experts giving theoretical advice right down to the musical score (it is exactly the same!). It however is not even on the same planet as Romeros's film. This is quite possibly the worst film I have seen. I had to stop the movie when one of the crack special forces 'hard nuts' comes across a house and decides to dress up in a green balarina outfit along with a top hat and begins prancing around - oh please. He is bound to to be finished off. That is not the only bout of stupidly irrational behaviour exhibited by the characters aimed at stretching you're patience to the limit. The effects are total pants, some of the death scenes are used twice with cutscenes stolen from a 70's wildlife program. In one scene people seem to just disappear without a reason. The characters always make stupid decisions which are the complete opposite of what anyone else would do. So given Zombie Creeping Flesh's logic if a blood sucking zombie is staggering towards you at 1m an hour you give in and walk towards it! There is however one good thing about this movie - the lead actress rips open her top and you get a great shot of her fine pair. But even with the 2 seconds of t*ts there is no point in this film you'd do better if you just got a chair and sat looking out of your window for a couple of hours.

they told me to watch it...

noted by charlie brooker in the guardian as an important zombie landmark, it's pretty hilarious and low budget, including tarzan-style stock footage and gratuitous breast shots. i wasn't convinced all the way through but the final scenes are pretty well done and i'd say it's worth a watch for dedicated zombie fans....

OH MY GOD!!! IS THIS 4 REAL

jabran from , 5th January, 2008

I watched the movie and it was funny because most of the scences were from wildlife progaramme, and also african people which has nothing to do with the story. Its really good for a laugh and espically for a olden day Zombie film, however it will have you think 'did this actually get made'

Average Italian Zombie film

One of the multitude of post Zombie Flesh Eaters immitators. This is one of the least worse (along with Zombie Dead) but still a million miles from the Fulci original.
