The Best of Eddie

If you already like Eddie Izzard then you're on to a winner as this is probably the best of all his DVDs.

He is on top surreal form, giving us all a bit of a (slightly jumbled) history lesson and a spot on French routine at the end - although doing this for Californians was perhaps a mistake!

If you're new to Mr Izzard then you must watch this one above all others, if you don't like this, then you'll never like him, but if you do then you're in for a treat with most of his other material.

Very Very Funny

I've watched this over and over again, and trust me, it's one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

Eddie takes on English history, Religion and American's bizzare fascination for guns in front of a warm San Francisco audience.

Intelligent humour

Hilarious! A painfully pleasureable experience of laughter.
Unlike some performers, who rely on foul language to embarrass an audience into laughter, this comedian has the confidence and ability to perform in French (extra footage).
An intelligent and very witty performance. I will see this again.

Very funny

Recording of a stand-up performance from Alcatraz island in San Francisco. Very funny routines on topics from stonehenge, to christian singing, to stand-up comedy in France. Had trouble breathing in a couple of spots we were laughing so much.

Dress to kill

He is funny. If you have just had a baby and are up half the night, this is the dvd to put on. You will laugh and the baby will be properly winded.

Eddie Izzard is just genius! Absolutely enjoyed it! However, you do need some knowlegde of European/American culture & history to get it.
