The year is 2018. Judgment Day has come and gone. At the behest of Skynet, an army of Terminators roams the wastelands killing or collecting humans. The only hope for the survival of humanity is Resistance fighter John Connor: a man whose destiny has always been intertwined with the fate of human existence. As the future of the world teeters on the brink of the future John has been warned about his whole life, something totally new shakes his belief that mankind stands a chance against the machines: the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a man from the past whose last memory is of being on death row before awakening in this post-apocalyptic nightmare. In the face of an ever-adapting Skynet, John must decide whether Marcus can be trusted as he prepares to face the enemy head-on.

Variety

Darker, grimmer and more stylistically single-minded than its two relatively giddy predecessors, TERMINATOR SALVATION boasts the kind of singular vision that distinguished the James Cameron original, the full-throttle kinetics of SPEED and an old-fashioned regard for human (and humanoid) heroics

Stupid sequels

artowl from , 16th February, 2010

Awful take on the 1st two classics, brilliant special effects etc, but a heart transplant in a tent?? Not as bad as three but not many films are!!! Be good to see a proper 3rd film one day but it would have to be James Cameron or just leave it for the love of god.....

Disappointing

A Customer from Staffs, 5th March, 2010

Very disappointing. This terminator film is not up to the same standard as the previous ones. Would not recommend it.

Better Than Expected

adeharding from , 4th March, 2010

Had heard some bad reviews but film was better than expected. Sam Worthington could be one to watch in the future. Story was interesting but felt more work could have been put into it. Blu-Ray only contained DTS-HD so had to convert in my amp.

DVD problems

A Customer from Antrim, 27th February, 2010

I own a Philips BDP 3000 Blu-ray player. This film kept stalling at the top menu and I was about to send back the third copy when we discovered on the Philips website that there was an issue playing this film. We upgraded our player with a little bit of software downloaded from Philips site via a USB stick. Problem solved apart from some stickiness on one of the scenes. Good action film, missed Arnie though.

Salvation for T3

godber from , 26th February, 2010

After the debacle that was T3 I was praying they'd get this one right... and they did. The effects are pretty damned great, the action scenes are terrific and the clever little references to T1 and T2 are fun. Terminator films shouldn't be taken too seriously, sci-fi afficionado wise, and this one is great entertainment. Bale is good as the broody Connor while Worthington nearly steals the show. Watch it, you'll enjoy it but don't go all serious on it.
