Released: November 02, 2009

Jimmy Carr marks 10 successful years in comedy with the release of his most controversial DVD to date, Telling Jokes. Featuring over 90 minutes of material that's just too rude for television, the new DVD sees Jimmy Carr at his best; unleashing his delightfully crafted one-liners upon the nation and putting down brave hecklers. Slick, sick and definitely not for the easily offended, Jimmy offers a masterclass in comedy as he takes his dry and sardonic wit to a whole new level. And it seems that no-one and nothing is safe from Jimmy's cutting remarks as he delves into a diverse range of subjects including religion, sex, bullying and somewhat ironically political correctness...

Did not find this funny at all

Canarius from , 20th November, 2009

I must admit I was looking forward to watching this, and when it finally landed on the doormat I got it in the player immediately. However I only managed half an hour before I had to switch off. Jimmy's stand up routine is quite simply dull. He throws out joke, after joke, after joke. Good stand-ups know how to tell a story, interweaving jokes and funny observations into a tight routine, possibly coming back to that said observation / joke later on in the show. Not with Jimmy however. In fact his jokes aren't even funny and even he himself struggles to get more than a chortle from the audience in more than one occassion. He even tries to get a laugh by sitting down at a table and telling his poor jokes with 'visual aids' to try and make it more funny. Even a member of the audience manages to get more of a laugh by heckling him. All in all I did not find him funny - perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if he didnt just reel off poor joke after poor joke after poor joke again and again and again and again and again.....you get the picture. Give this a miss - Bill Bailey's Tinselworm however....!

Jimmy Carr's latest dvd. with all his usuall close to the bone gags and his fantatsic whitty banter. Arguably his best performance to date. Not for the easily offended but definately worth a watch. 5/5
