In order to save her subjects from terror, the daring princess Luisa asks Gabriel, the son of a legendary dragon slayer, for help. Together, they must free the Ice Dragon, the only creature who can defeat the monster that brings destruction upon their kingdom. But soon their savior will become their worst enemy.

Think again and select a different movie...

KittyandSquish from , 25th September, 2009

I never thought I would find a fantasy film that makes the rather appalling Dungeon and Dragons film (staring Jeremy Irons) look like an amazing fantasy epic. Yet here we are. The dialogue is appalling, and the special effects are way below par case to point being the 'Tree People' (they look like Morris Dancers wrapped in Ivy) and the sword fighting scenes are awful. Really truly avoid... at the end of the film you end up feeling sorry for the actors. The only reason I have given this two stars is that at points it’s so bad it’s hilarious – again I can only mention the “Tree People”.

Avoid!

sick2death from , 28th September, 2009

Although I didnt really expect much from this film, I was still utterley dissapointed. Fantasy and low budget do not make a good combination. The special effects are far from special, the acting is appauling, the script and storyline could almost of been made up on the spot. The wardrobe, the stunts... dreadfull. There really is nothing I could praise this movie for. If you want dragon thrills, stick to Eragon, which, although no masterpeice itself, really shows this movie up to be the utter waste of time it is!

Dragon Chronicles - Fire And Ice

I have NEVER stoped a film half way through... ... till now. The whole thing was poor. I know people have different tasts, otherwise we all would be sat at home watching eastenders 5 nights a week. But thank god we don't. I am not gonna go an about the acting, POOR! The script DESPERATELY POOR! The CGI was done by (what seamed like) PRIMARY SCHOOL. My verdict STAY AWAY FROM THIS PILE OF CR*P, IT'S AN HOUR AND A HALF OF YOUR LIFE YOU CAN NEVER GET BACK....

Dragon Chronicles - Fire and Ice

This was obviously done on the cheap as there was only one actress that I knew of, but on saying that it was not bad, not brilliant but a pleasant way to pass an hour or so. Scenery was beautiful even if the acting was a bit wooden at times.

Don't bother

A Customer from Wolverhampton, 15th February, 2010

This is a terrible film. I love cheesy fantasy films but I couldn't finish watching this. Horrible CGI, horrible attempts at English accents, horrible plot. There are no redeeming features to this film.

Average D&D

A Customer from Huntingdon, 17th January, 2010

This film reminded me of the many D&D fantasy films I used to watch in the 80s/90s. Don't get me wrong, the effects are brought up to date but it is a middle of the road fantasy film. There are a few known stars; John Rhys-Davies (Gimli in Lord of the Rings and Prof in Slider series), Arnold Vosloo (from the Mummy and the new GI Joe film) and Amy Acker (from the Angel series where she played 'Fred' and Dollhouse). It is a shame because the film doesn't really warrant the cast. In fact Amy was quite an annoying, whining, I'm a 'girl power' princess character. I wish when films want to make a strong female character they wouldn't have to labour the fact. Just make her character strong! Closest comparrison to the feel of the film is if the Mummy was 8/10 (imo), then this is a bearable 6/10 (if you're a fantasy fan only!).
