The Flight Of The Conchords cast make the transition from Emmy-Award Winning comedy show to feature film in this spoof Horror reminiscent of Kiwi legend Peter Jackson's work that's both hilarious and horrific in equal measure. A supernatural force brings together 2 lost souls united by their love of literature who after a sinister twist of fate are diagnosed with terminal cancer and the pair are sent to an experimental drug-testing facility run by a creepy Doctor (Flight Of The Conchord's Bret McKenzie). When the facility is locked down for the weekend and the drugs begin to take effect, the human guinea pigs begin to experience ominous hallucinations pointing to a horrific murder. Unsure of where reality stops and the drugs have taken hold, the apparitions become more threatening and the only way to leave the facility alive is to discover the truth about the haunting dark secret.

such a shame

pg1982 from , 5th August, 2009

Too be honest I thought more of the FOTC team, and imagined that this film would be a dark comedy. It was dark, but wheres the comedy? A critics review suggested it was funnier than Shaun of the dead. This was certainly not the case. The puzzle like plot is sufficient enough to keep you watching, but anyone without a love for the FOTC actors would soon switch off.

Don't watch this!!!!

A Customer from Luton, 5th August, 2009

Absolutely terrible. This wasn't at all funny and is basically selling a rubbish film on rubbish cameos by the Flight of the Conchords cast. It is 80 minutes of my life that I will never get back. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible

JakeBar from , 11th August, 2009

From the mere association with the FOTC cast I assumed great things from this film, but the reality really was a horror. Only Bret is in this film longer than 2 minutes, and I cannot recommend watching this film longer than that. This film was filmed on a budget for a reason, because it does not deserve one, terrible actors, film, script and plot. This film has no ties to the conchords any more than the tv show does to the planes, please save your time.

Why do people give this a bad review

A Customer from Cornwall, 13th February, 2010

Because they're expecting flight of the conchords and its not. If you think of this as a totally different film its brilliant, Most hollywood mediocre films get a good review and some poor, this one is much better than most of the hollywood trash yet it gets slated and undeservedly so. That's why this gets full marks, to try and pad out the unjustified no scores its getting from losers wanting to watch FOTC. A really good dark film with a good plot and some humour....well done.

Avoid

AndyLove from , 14th January, 2010

This is dreadful. The lead actor is so bad it is unbeleivable. Apart from Bret the FOTC team seem to have been added later. This is not a comedy and not horrific or thrilling. I doubt very much it would have got a release in the UK without the FOTC connection.

Hilarious...

Benjani from , 7th November, 2009

a lot of people don't seem to like this film and it seems to do with a previous knowledge of FOTC. I have never seen them/the programme so it did not colour my enjoyment. This is very similar in style to Bad Taste as others have mentioned. I also enjoyed the New Zealand film Black Sheep so seek that out if you enjoy this. The style and hammy acting is intentional in this film and it is the first film to make me laugh out loud in a long time. Shaun of the dead was funny but not once did i do more than smirk. This film is far more ridiculous and far more Antipodean. Watch it with caution and an open mind if you haven't seen this sort of thing before.
