Gore-Feast

Warkyboy from from West Kilbride, 15th October, 2009

‘Feast’ is essentially just a low-budget horror movie with some really brutal scenes and some genuinely funny moments. (Henry Rollins’ choice of trousers had me laughing for quite some time.) The action centres around a bar in the middle of nowhere, which hosts the usual disparate group of people expected in this type of film – single mum, working her butt off (literally) to feed her son; motivational speaker; bad boy (who turns out ok) and his wheelchair-bound brother etc. This poor group is set upon by a posse of wild and primitive creatures, who can rip through the walls and barricades, as well as rip through flesh and bone – as Jason Mewes (playing himself) could testify. It all ends up a wee bit predictable, but the gore is realistic and the jokes are actually funny, so if you’re looking for an entertaining horror film to just chill out in front of, you could do a lot worse than this.

Disappointing

A Customer from Cambridge, England, 9th March, 2010

This film did not transfer well to Blu-ray. The picture quality was grainy and very poor. As far as the film itself was concerned the gore was unrealistic and there was never an answer as to where the creatures came from.

Bloody Good Fun

Monkeymanbob from , 26th November, 2009

I haven't enjoy a horror movies this much in ages, and I shouldn't. Reading reviews, both positive and negative it sounded like a cheap horror flick with a lot of gore, and these movies always get there fans, usually because they haven't seen anything superior. From start to finish I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it, it made me laugh, made me jump and I really didn't know where the movie would be going next, mainly due to the clever set up at the begining of the movie that challenges your pre-conceptions. If I could compare it to anything it would be the second half of 'From Dusk 'til Dawn' where they are under siege in the Titty Twister. The set-up is simple, a group of people in the middle of no-where are under siege in a bar from 'things' that want to eat them. Simple, no hidden messages, no point to be made, just a whole lotta fun. Looking forward to the two sequels when they hit the UK
