superb..............

St Trinian's: The Legend of Fritton's Gold is the superb sequel to the hit film of St Trinians which has been show cased at Cannes recently. This film has the unruly mischief loving school girls of St. Trinians on the hunt for buried treasure after discovering secret papers in the school library that prove that headmistress Miss Camille Fritton is related to a famous pirate. St Trinian's: The Legend of Fritton's Gold is an adventure set very much like a cross between The Goonies and The Da Vinci Code. Oliver Parker and Barnaby Thompson are the Directors once again and the writers are Piers Ashworth and Nick Martin. Well worth watching !

Vintage St Trinians action

A Customer from Bristol, 27th December, 2009

One of the things I love about both St Trinians films is how true to the original 4 films they manage to be. If you walk into the cinema expecting something serious or thought provoking then you're going to miss out on a lot of fun. From flash mobs in Liverpool Street Station to crashing the stage at the Globe this film contains scene after scene of girls (and Rupert Everett - who is an absolute show stealer) just having a good time. If you hated the originals and the first of the new version then avoid this but it's good to see a re-make of a classic British franchise which knows it's history (although not the meaning of the word unfeasible).

A Teenager's Opinion

A Customer from Taunton, 2nd January, 2010

I went to see this film with a bunch of girlfriends, and without a doubt we all left the cinema in fantastic high spirits: this film makes you smile without a doubt! I do find the plot a bit too far-fetched... to the point that when the conclusion was revealed I did do a 'Whaaa..aat?!?! That's ridiculous!' But as long as you accept from the start that yes, it is a silly plot, then you're fine. Compared to the prequel, I think St Trinian's 2 is not quite as good as St Trinian's 1... but maybe this is just because the first film was so fantastic, and its sequel had a lot of high expectations to live up to. Summary: Need a boost? Want a good laugh over a silly, girly film? Then this is perfect.

Better than the first but....

A Customer from Plymouth, 29th December, 2009

I saw the first St Trinians and was truly shocked at how bad a film can be. I had to take my daughter to see this one and was expecting no better so was surprised when I found this outing to be a little more engaging than the first. This is not to say that it was anywhere near approaching good though. I still found myself more interested in the antics of the audience around me than the film on the screen and, frankly, the audience were far funnier. A few titters though do not make for a comedy and even though I laughed more at this than the first (at which I laughed not at all) I still feel that I am poorer in time and money for having seen it. Would I recommend it? I think you can guess the answer to that one.
