Robbed 2 hours of my life

Jenzal from , 20th June, 2009

Oh my god this film is awful. I've watched the previous 2 Goal films and enjoyed the story of Santiago Munez's rise to fame. However why on earth did the writers decide to sideline this story and focus on two pointless characters and forget the previous story sounding the original character. This was so painful to watch and i will never get the 2 hours wasted on this movie back, no wonder it went straight to DVD. If you've watched the previous 2, don't waste your time on this one, your be severly disappointed. Plus the special effects to intergrate the fictional characters into the football games was worse than ever.

Shocking

Thompsonic from from Hemel Hempstead, 26th June, 2009

How I wish I had read the other reviewers comments before getting this title. As a big fan of the original 2 titles I was hoping for more of the same, great cast, great fantasy storyline - Instead I was subjected to the worst tripe that it is possible to imagine on screen. No story, pathetic action, rubbish and I mean rubish acting (what the hell was Leo Gregory doing in this?) and the worst CGI ever to be filmed. Part of me thinks that others should hire this to share my pain, but I honestly wouldnt subject my worst enemy to watch this. Do NOT hire this under any circumstances.

Goal 3

This film does not continue the story of Santi Munz as promised at the end of Goal 2. It mearly features him briefly as a friend of two other footballers. The story line follows them NOT Santiago!! Maybe I missed the point of the first two films about him. HUGE disappointment and definately not worth a watch if you enjoyed the first two films. It actually ruins what was a good story !

Red card!

A Customer from Birmingham, 7th July, 2009

A major major disappointment and I agree wholeheartedly with all the other reviews. Why the film doesn't continue to follow Santiago's progress I don't know. And presumably the makers spent all the budget on their trip to the world cup cause it certainly wasn't spent on anything else. A huge shame and a massive missed opportunity.

Very Disappointing

A Customer from Glasgow, 10th March, 2010

Loved the first 2 movies, thought this one was going to be about Santiago making it to the World Cup - but he was barely in the movie and Goal 3 centred around 2 other players. There was no point in making this a trilogy if the 3rd movie was not about the same character as the first 2. OK movie on its own, but as it didn't centre round Santiago then I was highly disappointed.

Disappointed, Goal 2 left such a clif hanger and this was like watching a completely different story. Shame.

So poor it's untrue!

A Customer from Manchester, 16th February, 2010

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed the previous two Goal films and were looking forward to seeing how Santiago would do at the World Cup... The fact that the film went straight to DVD probably should have given us a clue of the quality. The film is so terrible you will find yourself laughing throughout. The effects of the players supposedly playing with the England squad could have been done better in the 60s! Then there is the story, which unfortunately, does not continue with the Santiago story and he becomes a side part in place of two really poor actors trying to play for England. There are parts of the story that will make you cringe and hide behind a pillow embarrassed that you are watching it! In short... If you're looking for the fairytale ending to the Goal series, stick to Goal II and forget there was a third...

Goal 3

A Customer from Stowmarket, 15th February, 2010

The film was good but not a great continuation from the last two. I was expecting to see Santi find out about his baby and some of the other original characters to still be in it. All in all pretty disapointing really. If you were watching Goal 3 without seeing the other two you would be able to follow this story line pretty easily as it has pretty much nothing to do with the last ones.
