A Time To Die

After being wrongly charged for drug posession, Jackie (Traci Lords) finds herself losing her son and doing community service. As she uncovers a plot involving her arresting officer, Jackie sets out to clear her name and be reunited with her son.

Former porn star Traci Lords has hampered her attempt to become a serious actress by appearing in too many sleazy B-movies. Baby-faced and with pouty lips, Lords is completely miscast here as an unfairly convicted photographer, whose community service involves promoting the good name of the police department. She soon finds herself in danger when she photographs a murder by the cop who had arrested her earlier. This PM Entertainment production has the company's trademark superior cinematography, but its star further hampers the slow-moving story. It's also time for co-star Richard Roundtree (Shaft) to place a moratorium on playing any more chief of police roles.
