Armando Ianucci presents a satirical look at the present onwards... from the future. Witness an increasingly bizzare Tom Cruise, Tesco invading Denmark, George Lucas' CGI enhanced funeral and many more hilarious memories yet to happen.

Did not even select to rent.

It arrived in the post. Opened it and thought don't remeber selecting this title. If you consider renting it - dont! BBC rubbish. Trust me do not rent it, or even consider it. The reason to rent DVD's is avoid what rubbish there is on TV and to have this on DVD is pure hell.

Cleverly funny
A Customer from London, 13th May, 2009
This series is simply brilliant from start to finish. Time Trumpet is a talking head 'I heart the 60s' style show set in the not too distant future, looking back on the events of 2000 onwards. The general themes are always superbly funny but quite sincerely some of the must utterly hilarious moments are short, almost throwaway clips from TV shows they are reflecting on. My favourite? A 10 second clip from 'The girl with the voice of Boris Johnson' - perfectly edited for maximum comic effect... as is the whole thing, with some hilarious CGI included, see 'Tesco invades Denmark'. 5 Stars, Top marks, A+, perfect!

What did I miss?
A Customer from Aylesbury, 15th May, 2009
I hired this on the basis of the other reviews I read - frankly it was dreadful ... not funny... not entertaining. I regret wasting my time watching this nonsense.

CLEVER RATHER THAN FUNNY

I was disappointed with the series finding the sketches cleverly done and original but not really funny. A bit like trying to make a film of Private Eye. Also watching one episode after another doesn't help with the repetetiveness and predictability.
interesting

some funny bits so ho-hum
itstinks from , 10th November, 2009
A mish-mash of jokes on fairly soft targets. Some were very funny at the time but unlike say Spitting Image it's hard to remember anything you would recall and tell someone else about later. The charity to rid the world of death seems similar to a sketch in Kentucky Fried Movie from 30 years ago.
