Pwappa Nawty (Not in a Good Way)

Smudgy from , 11th March, 2009

This is quite possibly, the worst, stupidest thing I have ever seen. I know the original film was dumb, but I quite enjoyed it. I generally like this kind of film, but this really doesn't have a single redeeming feature. The violence is explicit, but poorly choreographed and relentless. Most school plays are better acted. The script is absolutely implausible. None of the characters (or caricatures) have the slightest depth.

If you're at all interested, it's set in a prison this time. Of course you've got bent guards. You've got violent drug dealing inmates. I just have no idea how a bunch of sentinent human beings can have got together the funding and released this garbage. Somebody must have thought it was a good idea.

Why?

A Customer from Huntingdon, 24th March, 2009

Not renting it, but why on earth do they keep making this crap. Haven't we got enough problems in this country now without people glorifying these cretins who have nothing better to do in life then play at being soldiers and then go home for tea! What they do is moronic, making films about it is even worse. They're not fascinating, they're not admirable, they're not interesting, not even in a sick way, they're losers who can't find anything to make their lives worthwhile. Get over it.

Worst film ever...........! British football hooligans in an american prison? The 'firms' play a match & whoever wins is released...? acting is awful, whoever cast the lead actor must be blind............ unbelievable..... almost so bad its worth watching just for a laugh!

Excellent follow up, well worth seeing

nikki11178 from , 10th April, 2009

This is such a amazing film a great follow up to where green street 1 left off... Thought it wasn't going to be so good with out all the original cast but it was brill, more violence than the 1st and more swearing... Again though it is about violence and hooligans there is a underlying message about, family, honour and doing what is right... I really reccomend this film and i hope they make a green street 3....Come on green street..

Oh dear!!!

MisterGee from , 28th February, 2010

I like my low budget footie films and can forgive quite a lot if they capture the atmosphere I remember from my Lacoste t-shirt and Pringle jumper days but I'm afraid this falls well short. The plot has more holes in it than a triple X porno film and has the acting quality to match. In order to allow the climax to be reached (as it were!) an English prison has been turned into a caricature of 'Americas Hardest Prisons' with a ludicrous dollop of 'Mean Machine' thrown in . If you want a more realistic portrayal of prison life then I'd suggest watching Porridge. The character played by Star Treks Marina Sirtis is truly unbelievable as are the blatant scams and stereotypical bad guys. The violence is represented by the usual cartoon style blood capsule splatter fest which only ever appears to result in superficial injuries for the protganists. A night in hospital, a band aid and you're ready to go again. I don't want to drop in any spoilers so I will end this by saying that this is probably one of the worst films I have ever seen.
