Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George W. Bush is one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory. In an unprecedented undertaking, acclaimed director Oliver Stone is bringing the life of our 43rd president to the big screen as only he can. W takes viewers through Bush's eventful life--his struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and of course the critical days leading up to Bush's decision to invade Iraq.

Im not sure how i feel...but id still recommend it

This was always a film id 'quite like to see' but wasnt at the top of my list. When it arrived on my doorstep i was still unsure of how it would pan out and how good it would be. The reviews and hype id heard had left me unsure. The one word i would use to describe it would be 'intriging'. There were lots of gaps in the story where viewers are just expected to have seen news coverage. And to be honest, we probably all can fill in the gaps pretty easy. The movie flips from Pre President Bush to his tenure in the white house. how 'Dubya' struggles to gain the respect of his father in light of his brother Jeb. How he feels inadequate. How he is a normal guy underneath that somehow manages to think very tactifully in order to gain power. The film paints a very intriging picture of him to the point you almost feel sorry for him. he clearly made some idiotic decisions but the film highlights how members of his cabinet didnt exactly stop him when they could have. This film is worth seeing. Even if its just to say a very interesting impression of Condoleeza Rice from Thandie Newton. She stole the scenes for me every time she appeared...even if it was just in the background. Josh Brolin did a very good job here too. For those of you who are unsure...see 'W'. its definately worth a watch. And your opinion of Bush (whatever way you lean) might just feel a little bit more informed.

A must see.

Unbelievable! Let's face it, we all know the yanks are pretty stupid and they don't get out much, but to think this moron was a world leader? Watch and be horrified - this is based on fact too.

Amusing

There is some excellent acting and fantastic imitations in here. Its also very amusing and worth watching just for laughs! But seriously, Im not sure W was as commanding as he is portrayed here, this movie actually makes him look better..
