Adriana is a 13-year-old girl from Mexico City, whose kidnapping by sex traffickers sets in motion a desperate mission to save her by her 17-year-old brother, Jorge. Trapped and terrified by an underground network of international thugs who earn millions exploiting their human cargo, Adriana's only friend and protector throughout her ordeal is Veronica, a young Polish woman tricked into the trade by the same criminal gang. As Jorge dodges immigration officers and incredible obstacles to track the girls' abductors, he meets Ray, a Texas cop whose own family's loss to sex trafficking leads him to become an ally in the boy's quest.

Harrowing tale

A Customer from Northern Ireland, 13th May, 2009

Well acted, well directed film showing the darker side of the world. Some gritty scenes but spoilt by typical Holywood ending so just misses out on 5 stars. Well worth viewing.

Disturbing film, didn't have loads of action and super-duper hero.

Although I think this adds to the rality that this is happening to normal people as we speak. - Definately left me thinking about it afterwards

Very gripping and harrowing subject matter. Excellent film. Mostly in Spanish with subtitles (so those that can't read should avoid).

important movie

gatopardo from , 5th December, 2009

The acting is superb and a wake up call for any of us. In the backyard of our 'civilized' societies, tens of thousand of kids are kidnapped and sold as sex slaves every year. One of those movies that stayed with me and made me think if there is anything I can do to stop these atrocities to continue happening? Good stuff but very tough.

brilliant story

Alicia123 from , 12th October, 2009

really enjoyed this film, it does get a bit graphic but thats what makes it the film it is, showing us what really goes on in the world, and that often very little gets done about it. A majority of this film was in spanish but that didnt put me off at all it made the film and without the language it was in, it wouldnt have been as authentic. A 5/5 as I thought this was a well acted film with an enticeing story line and it kept me hooked throughout. Make sure you rent this.
