If you have read the book then go for it

A Customer from bournemouth, 8th February, 2009

The film was almost as good as the book. The film captures both of the twins growing up in very different lifes to each other. It also raises issues about down syndrome in the 1970s. A moving story.

The film is good and my husband enjoyed it however As i had read the book first I did not feel the film captured the full atmosphere that the book created.

the memory keepers daughter

joedipus from , 5th July, 2009

This film made me laugh, sigh and cry in equal amounts. The story follows each member of the family from their perspective with ease although it doesnt get overly complictated. The young couple start off so happy but the husband has a terrible secret following the birth of their twins. I found it interesting how this secret eats away at every member of the family even though he is the only one who knows of its existance. A moving and realistic portrayal of the dilemas families face when a 'different from expected' child is born.

Buy the book, it's sooooo much better. This film was dull and badly acted.
