Danny DeVito directs and stars in this classic comedy about the dirty and dastardly deeds behind the glitz and glamour of American TV. Having made his money in a New Jersey trucking business, Vic De Salvo (DeVito) decides to head for California to make it big in television, but becoming a hotshot TV producer is not as easy as he'd hoped. With a little help from his girlfriend Francine (Rhea Perlman) and some mobster friends from back home, Vic is going to ensure that his shows top the viewing charts whatever the cost!
