what happened here?

A Customer from Edinburgh, 13th October, 2008

I know sequels generally are less than the first film in the line tghat inspired them, but the Awfullness that is Starship Troopers 3 goes beyond any dire sequel ever previously made. Absolute rubbish. C'mon you apes...you wanna live forever? Not if this is the future of entertainment.

Another poor sequel

bengun101 from from Crawley, 5th October, 2008

After the initial STARSHIP TROOPERS i had high hopes for any sequels but was let with a very bitter taste after watching Starship Trooper 2 , so i sat down to watch Starship Shiptroopers 3 not having too many high hopes which was just as well . The film seems to bank of the fact that The return of Rico will make up for a shoestring budget which regretably it does not . Saying that the film is much better than the second installment a what i would class as a saturday afternoon film . Why cant they make a decent sequel to what was a good film

Painfully funny

A Customer from Brechin, 5th November, 2008

This film is ruly bad, i mean the acting, well what acting?!!! the only reason i carried on watching was the fact that it was so bad it was comical, in all honesty i wouldnt bother with this film unless you want somthing to help you sleep or enjoy gouging your eyes out with small pointie objects! The first two i liked but the 3rd.... is truly truly bad!

Not a patch on the original

Shaun from Hexham, 2nd December, 2008

I wasn't hoping for too much after seeing Starship Troopers 2 - but had hoped that having van Dien in the cast, might have meant that the standard of the movie would be raised. It was... but alas, not enough. On the plus side, they have brought back the Federal Network 'adverts' that worked so well in the original, and its generally well shot, but the acting is sub par - I really didn't care if they lived or diead, and whilst most of the effects were good, there were some very dodgy CGI bits towards the end (the Marauder bits). In summary - better than ST2, but not a patch on the Verhooven original

Pants!

PENGERS101 from , 4th January, 2010

Well i thought the No2 was bad. This is a massively waisted opertunity to make a great follow-on to a fantastic first film. I actually thought with the main lead back onboard it would make all the difference but even he came over being board with the film and just waiting for his 'end of deal cheque!'. You could tell by the quality of the actors that at some point they would get naked, and well any excuse to get the kit of could have been used but there one must have took some well paid dudes to come up with that! (you have to be naked to ride in the mech's) pathetic. rent this at your peral! (Soz 4 the lack of spell check!)

Has potential... but the Lord's prayer scene is utter nonesense.... Imaginative bug development... more gore... not much of a storyline... but watchable, except for the end which will drive you nuts!!!

Starship Trooper 3

lesdan from , 3rd July, 2009

I think this story has now ran its course. The plot was thin as was some of the acting. Not recommended.
