Speedracer, Blu-ray, words cannot describe how visually stunning it looks, its a great film, with your ups an downs, lil poeple vs the companys, set to just some amazing races with even more stunning scenery.

Good fun film - very interestingly put together

Geoff from Sussex, UK, 16th February, 2009

First off watching this on Blu-ray is amazing, as this is easily one of the sharpest and most colourful films made in recent times. The story is pure bubblegum, however with some moments of adults too. What is most interesting to a geek like me is the way the film is composited. A normal film uses focal point to tell you the view what to concentrate on i.e. if it's in focus, look at it. In speed racer they have decided to use digital technology to make everything in sharp focus. This is pretty trippy, but gives the whole thing a fantastical and cartoony feel. Give it a go :)

Too childish...disapointing

A Customer from Southampton, England, 25th November, 2008

I found this too childish to get into and ultimately turned it off. Make no mistake...this is a kids film from the directors of the Matrix. There isn't much here for adults to latch on to. One to rent fo the kids only

Awesome

JMHCM from from Maidenhead, 2nd March, 2010

I love this movie and the Blu-ray format is perfect for the glossy, lurid colours that really bring to life the story's comic book origins. Okay, so the story line isn't particularly highbrow but it's great family entertainment and the slapstick fighting had all of us (4, 9 & 38 year olds) in absolute stitches. Good family stuff IMHO, so much so, I've bought a copy (cheaper through Amazon...)

Speed Racer

Motherof4 from from Leicestershire, 23rd February, 2010

We loved this film, if you're watching in blu ray then you're in for a real treat, the colours are amazing and if you have 'a need for speed' then it's definately one to watch. My 4 yeat old twins loved it as did Dad and I.

Speed Racer

Not really our sort of film unfortunately, we turned it off after 20 minutes or so as my daughter was not enjoying it. I think it may be more of a boys film.

Cool film

A Customer from Motherwell, 10th November, 2009

The Warshowski brothers have pushed the visual experiance again. The story is the usual run of the mill childrens movie good gus/bad guys. But the colourful visual experience of watching this film overwhelms your senses. From start to finish you are amazed at what you are watching from the racing to the characters to the background. It's like watching Polar Express but instead of the characters looking like Tom Hanks they are Tom Hanks but with the same colour intensity. I recommend this film more for the visual experience than story.
