Based on actual events in the life of William Coit Jr., this is the story of one man's choice between love for his mother and his search for the truth. On the eve of William's birthday, his uncle decides it is time William knew some facts about his mother, Jill. She is a bigamist, a liar and a thief. William decides to investigate.
