Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie Never released before in the UK this "alternate film" companion to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was compiled from hours of extra footage, dropped sub-plots and alternate takes from the original film. Filmed at the same time as Anchorman, Wake Up Rob Burgandy finds Channel 4's lead anchor and man about town, Ron Burgundy, chasing a scoop against rival and lover Veronica Corningstone.

[Ferrell is] a reminder that the greatest, deepest laughter doesn't come at the expense of some other guy, but from the glints of self-recognition we get when the screen becomes our mirror

Better than most

AlexPhillips from , 26th August, 2008

keeping it simple this is a movie made up from all the alternet scenes and variations which went into the making of the origional Anchorman film. As such it is a moive made up of all the things which were deemed to be not as funny as what went into the origional or simply just not funny enough; and it shows when the two are compared. That said this film is still a lot better than most of its type and especialy a lot funnier than many of the movies Will Ferrell has churned out over recent years. I just wish that he would spend more time on quality rather than quanity! Roll on Anchorman 2 in 2010!!!

Pants, really pants!

Not really worth watching if you have seen the real movie, and avoid this one if you haven't.

Avoid

A Customer from Whittlesey, 18th December, 2008

If, like me, you think Anchorman one of the funniest films of the last few years then do yourself a favour and avoid watching this. Its not that its really bad, it just doesn't add anything to the original. If anything its just a bit confusing. Stick to the original. This one smells like bigfoots dick.

Wake up Ron Burgundy

Nachooooo from , 22nd October, 2008

Anchorman is one of the best movies ever made. This film is basically an extended outtakes held together with a very tenuous plot. Disappointment for anyone expecting anything else.

Anchorman - Wake Up, Ron Burgundy - The Lost Movie

A Customer from Durham, England, 26th January, 2010

Although I think that the original Anchorman is the best film that Will Ferrel has ever done, The Lost Movie is still pretty good showing alternative cuts from the first version, It's worth a watch if you're a Will Ferrel fan but if not stick with the original.

Ultimate Let Down

Estellanico from , 22nd December, 2009

After a long wait to finally sit down and watch this film my excitment was hardly bearable. Within minutes i had already decided i was not going to enjoy this film. Many of the scenes were in the out takes in the original movie and the rest of the new filming (where veronicas eyebrows changed colour!) were nothing more than dissapointing. Especially with one of the female parts of the bank robbers being almost unbearable and annoying to watch.

pretty much the same film

smiffyblackskull from , 23rd October, 2009

athough there were just as many hilarious quotes the storyline was a bit thrown together it would have been better if they'd just made the frst film to include this one because a lot of it dosn't make sense. If storline dosn't interest you and you just want to laugh, then this is the film for you thanks

Not worth it...

JimOo from , 12th October, 2009

If you like Anchorman then ignore this one, its a very very poor second rate excuse for another Anchorman! Not as funny as the first, not as clever, it doesn't hang together well, just ignore would be my advice :)
