'Happy Ever After' (1954) tells the tale of the caddish Jasper O'Leary (Niven), who inherits a hunting estate in Ireland following the death of his uncle. He soon arouses the ire of all the villagers, with the exception of the scheming Serena McGluskey (Yvonne De Carlo). The villagers use the occassion of 'O'Leary Night', when the ghost of the first O'Leary walks the halls, to try and create enough confusion and mayhem to send Jasper packing. |
