This is going to be a great movie in 2010. Ive read all the books and i think they are amazing. It has a great storyline and i think it may become better than twilight. Its about a boy who wants a spider , so he steals it from a 'vampire.' The spider bites his best friend and to save his friend has to become a vampire. This movie should be a great hitt and a definate grammy nominee!

I have read the first two books to my class and they are enthralled. It scares them and makes them ask lots of questions. I think these stories are fab. Having seen the trailer I am not too sure on how true to the books the film is going to be but I really hope they do a great job these are books worth filming.

CDF - great but unfortunate

A Customer from U.K., 5th February, 2010

I love the books and the characters and plots, they're wonderful and it's not the story needing change nor do I believe it was the story which attracted such low ratings. Teen films have been the latest craze and with competition at the movies like 'Twilight' obviously targeting teenagers was a main priority. Unfortunately, the Cirque du Freak story is not best made to that audience. The dark but offbeat story would have been much more successful as a film if the movie had been made in the style of for example Tim Burton's work.

Dissapointing

A Customer from Oxfordshire, 24th December, 2009

I was only just stuck in the books when I heard there was a film coming out later in the year, and, I was very excited. I hadent really read any of the books then, only the first volume of the manga. I hurried through the first 3 books and by the time the film had come out I had nearly finished the 4th. I'm now (at time of writing) halfway through the last (12, Sons of Destiny) I went to see the film with a friend on day of release and the first showing in the cinema. I was, to say the least, disappointed after seeing the film. It didn't follow the books at all, spare the character names and the skeleton of the plot, and was heavily edited, with key parts and characters removed. The third book (Tunnels of Blood) was completely replaced and parts of the final books were added in too. Over all, I give it a 2.5 Star rating and hopefully they improve when making Cirque Du Freak: Vampire Mountain.
