Crash and Burn

Maynard from , 29th July, 2009

After a plane crash, grief counsellor Ann Hathaway (Claire) tries to help the five survivors come to terms with their ordeal. Gradually each survivor disappears except Patrick Wilson (Eric) with whom she builds up a close relationship, but something is wrong, but what is it? To say more will spoil the film, which for the most part plods along with a few red herrings, but overall the cast seem to under perform, possibly due to the weak script. A disappointing film which fails to really deliver.

A flaming disaster

beergibbon from , 30th July, 2009

This film really just doesn't go anywhere and seems written for the awful twist at the end. Even when I had watched it I still had to go online and double-check what had happened. The 'disappearances' aren't explained and don't grab you at all. The relationship between Eric and Claire is pretty strange as well and doesn't tug at the heartstrings. We've all seen movies like this before and, in my opinion, most of them were done better.

slow burner

ferdyjenny from , 29th July, 2009

not a bad film when final scence closed, but lacks a lot, a copy film, in some ways,, not say too much but its a twister some spotted comeing some not, at best worth a watch, ,and at worse still watchable, shame this could have been as big as ..**********, you wil know when watched,,!! must say it does leave you with a lot off thoughts, so in that aspect it succeds well, rent it and apart from the slowness, decent film,, wrongly cast? 3 stars bordering a 4 star,,

Thriller with a really clever twist

SueSpeight from , 26th August, 2009

This film is AMAZING! I watched it and although initially I was intrigued as to whether it was a horror, a psychological thriller or a love story, as it unfolds I came to realise it is so much more than all of these! The twist in the tale is very cleverly thought-out - I cannot believe some reviewers here said they didn't understand it and that loose ends didn't tie up - and the conclusion explains itself really well. It's a beautiful film and one which I'd recommend. And rarely do I do THAT with films!

Rent this movie if you hate yourself!

Got halfway through and switched it off. Normally I have a high boredom threshold, but I reached it, and had to resort to rocking in the corner before I chewed my own head off!
