Stuart Gordon creates a provocative, over-the-top experience in "Stuck," a tabloid-tinged thriller inspired by true events. Brandi is a compassionate young retirement-home caregiver in-line for a promotion. Tom is a victim of the downsized economy, out of work and newly homeless. Their worlds collide when Brandi, driving home from a club after too many drinks and pills, accidentally hits Tom, the impact smashing his body head-first through her car's windshield. If discovered, this "accident" will extinguish her bright future, so instead of saving him, her plan is to let him pass and dispose of the body later. Faced with this reality, Tom knows he must escape if he wants to survive.

What a waste

William Brown from Edinburgh, 2nd June, 2009

Don't let the trailer fool you. Yip its a great idea with two excellent actors in the lead but that the good bits over with. It hammers home its message about how selfish and self centred the world is until you just don't give a damn anymore. Lead woman, her boyfriend, her boss, her boyfriend's grilfriend, her neighbours, her pal, the police, the entire social work department, just about anybody who flits in or out. Only care about themselves until you don't care either. And why take a good idea and turn it into something as predictable as this? Hardly a minute goes by where you don't know what 'surprise' is coming next. A fairly complete waste of time.

Turgid!

mm73 from , 10th February, 2010

The start of the synopsis; ..'Brandi is a compassionate young retirement-home caregiver'.. I must assume was written by someone who pops narcotics like smarties, not unlike the main characters of this misguided black comedy thriller, which was neither funny or thrilling. Mena Suvari plays unconvincing gangsta-ho wannabe Brandi, who turns inexplicably from a kindly care worker, happy to clean copious amounts of runny excrement off the arse's of senile OAP's, into a morally bankrupt, despicable potential murderer. Sadly, the highlight of the film was the scene when a pomeranian dog chows down on one of Stephen Rea's tragically battered limbs! Lazy.
