Fast paced action from beginning to end!

A Customer from SW London, 22nd October, 2008

I agree with the previous reviewer: it's a little hard to believe how a government computer has the intelligence (or the programming) to decide what is right or wrong and act accordingly. Basically it's the story of how 2 unrelated strangers are bought together and forced to carry out terrorist activity for the mastermind computer 'Ariel' (I think it's called). Monaghan and Shia's characters are simple pawns in the whole game. The plot is therefore far fetched and deeply flawed, however I cannot fault the non stop action from beginning to end.So for that reason I give the film a 3, because it kept me gripped to the screen right till the end.

Poor stuff

A Customer from Glasgow, 13th March, 2010

Was looking forward to this having missed it at the pics but v disappointed. Takes an old idea (I won't say what films as that would give away the only interesting plot twist) and executes it badly thorugh ludicrously conviluted plot lines and unconvincing characters. Felt like a script written by committee and aimed at 12 year old boys. Never been motivated to review a film before but felt compelled after viewing.

Action packed Rubbish

Bojarkus from , 9th March, 2010

It's a busy film, and the plot is garbage. The cast are pretty, but aren't they always in these types of films. Enemy of the State did it much better.

I, Robot was better

TheImaginator from , 9th March, 2010

This adds nothing to the 'What are you doing Dave?' Judas/Captain Ahab AI genre. Starts out as a good idea and ends by being bland and generic.

Not too bad

A Customer from Burntisland, Scotland, 6th March, 2010

This film was very popular with my teenage kids, they watched it at least 4 times, although not back to back.

The plot is reasonably twisty - although largely unbelievable - and kept everyone guessing until the latter stages.

The performances are fair - Shia turns in a good' angry young man with a chip on both shoulders', the actor playing the father is wooden to the point of being at risk from strong winds and men with axes.

Overall, a chunk of visual chewing gum that does not force the viewer to engage their brain - in fact, it is probably best you don't! 4.5 for effects, 2.0 for plot, 0.5 for the wooden father,
