Ritchie Donovan (Stephen Dorff) is a professional thief. One of the best in the business with a reliable reputation and an immaculate track record until a violent twist of fate leaves Ritchie as the only surviving member of an otherwise meticulous heist. Forced into compensating the heist's ringleaders, and wanting to keep his limbs intact, Ritchie agrees to travel halfway around the world in an attempt to steal a priceless crucifix once owned by the first Tsar of Russia. Having set foot in the Eastern Bloc, Ritchie's already complicated situation soon becomes a downward spiral of increasingly bizarre circumstances as he finds himself trapped in the penthouse suite of a Moscow skyscraper having to deal with psychotic hostages, religious fanatics, exploding rats, demented serial killers, decapitated corpses, a deluded ex-army commando and missing trousers. Not to mention the bloodthirsty police squad on the 13th floor and the mysterious, sultry Anna (Jaime Murray). "Botched" is a highly original, darkly comic and occasionally gruesome horror crime caper that's destined for cult status.

And this film was. So much so I turned it off after 40 minutes. It was like a poor Harry Enfield sketch meets a very poor Carry On film - only with worse acting and accents and NO storyline. Stay WELL away!!

very funny

CheekyBum from , 16th July, 2008

brilliant film. very funny, very silly and easy going film. This film is not a serious deep meaningful comedy or something. All the monologs, the actors, russian accent - really made me laugh. 5 stars to the director.

How refreshing to watch a film that you've never heard of and never read any reveiws about (good or bad). This film was a breath of fresh air, comical from start to finish. As the one other review states this film is not meant to be taken seriously, it's meant to be enjoyable and it bloody (see what I've done there...) well is! 5 stars...!!

This was OK..

JimOo from , 1st March, 2010

Please don't rent this expecting Oscar winning actors / storyline / direction / or anything, uness the Oscars do an award for the'Best weird, quite funny, a bit gruesome, but overall quite good former Soviat Union film' as if they did this would win hands own. It was a good film, not as good as others, and could have been better, but it was watchable and had some blood, gore and humour.

Don't waste your time

A Customer from UK, 20th February, 2010

I didn't even bother to wait till the end. Once the movie moves into the half finishes building with no other people apart from the few cast members, it is simply awful and a waste of time.

This was a rather strange movie, def in the new mix off horcoms (Horror Comedy) which seems to be coming from a few brits at the moment witch I must say I do enjoy one of my fav being severance which i would recommend to anyone that like this sort of film. The Disco ball bit did confuse me slightly, but being a lover of gore I was not disappointed by this. That fact the introduce the comical elimant into this improves the no end.
