Ritchie Donovan (Stephen Dorff) is a professional thief. One of the best in the business with a reliable reputation and an immaculate track record until a violent twist of fate leaves Ritchie as the only surviving member of an otherwise meticulous heist. Forced into compensating the heist's ringleaders, and wanting to keep his limbs intact, Ritchie agrees to travel halfway around the world in an attempt to steal a priceless crucifix once owned by the first Tsar of Russia. Having set foot in the Eastern Bloc, Ritchie's already complicated situation soon becomes a downward spiral of increasingly bizarre circumstances as he finds himself trapped in the penthouse suite of a Moscow skyscraper having to deal with psychotic hostages, religious fanatics, exploding rats, demented serial killers, decapitated corpses, a deluded ex-army commando and missing trousers. Not to mention the bloodthirsty police squad on the 13th floor and the mysterious, sultry Anna (Jaime Murray).
