Bizarrely self indulgent

PollyPops from , 13th August, 2008

I had heard about this film for a while, I belive it had a delayed release on DVD as it was made in 2005. Luke wrote, directed and starred as Wendell Baker. I really got the feeling that he had put his heart and soul into it, and I so wanted it to be a great watch, but alas it had many flaws. Luke should have spent all his time perfecting this very far fetched & truly bizarre story. Kris kristofferson as a recluse, aggrophobic, milionaire pilot, who can suddenly embrace the outdoors?? A very bizarre sub-plot that made no sense, although Kris was a pilot for many years in real life..... His two brothers and mum were also involved and to be honest it really had the feeling of something made for themselves, to be watched on the Wilson's home cinema. But saying that if you have enough money, influential and showbiz family and friends, why not be self indulgent!

Funny but lacking

The film was funny and well thought out, it was just lacking a little of the owen wilson magic.
