Set in the near future, the Battlefield: Bad Company single-player campaign drops gamers into a dramatic Eurasian conflict. As part of a squad of four soldiers, players risk it all to go AWOL on a personal quest, fighting their own war within the war. Featuring a dramatic storyline flavoured with attitude, Battlefield: Bad Company leads gamers far from the traditional frontlines on a wild ride with a group of renegade soldiers who decide that sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn't enough.

The Battlefield: Bad Company cinematic single-player experience captures the freedom and intensity of the series legendary multiplayer sandbox gameplay in a dynamic world where nearly everything is destructible. Gamers have total freedom to be daring and innovative, adapting to and tackling challenges in unexpected "Battlefield-style" ways. Create sniping positions by blowing out a piece of a wall or drive your tank straight through a small house. The ever-changing battlefield forces players, their teammates and enemies to react accordingly. The game also features a full suite of the series trademark multiplayer gameplay, supporting 24 players online.

Not as good as the originals.

MrNicklebe from from Brighton, 4th July, 2008

BF needs to go back to its roots. It's all about gadgets and wowing people now. BF1942 was fun because it was just plain silly, this is good but it's trying too hard now. Sometimes you just want to go on multiplayer and piss around, not 'find the gold' or whatever. I hope BF3 has the right idea. Plus FPS's are a joke on consoles anyway, i mean only 24 players, tiny maps, and no keyboard/mouse combo? Common DICE, take your influences from BF1942 not CoD4 and all the other samey FPS's out atm.

DESTRUCTION

SNIPERKID from from GLASGOW, 13th October, 2008

This game is brilliant! The destruction is AMAZING! A tree blocking your sniper view? BLAM. Where'd it go? Can't find the door to a house? KABOOM. Found one! The story lets you do pretty much whatever you want. Want to snipe your way through? sure go ahead. Wanna get an MI6 and shoot your way through? Fine by me. Or do you just wanna get a tank and rip everyone apart? The only bad thing about it is it's quite short, but you forget about that when your driving a gold-plated helicopter. The online isn't quite as good as Call of Duty, but instead of if you get up every to levels, it lets you choose what weapon you want, but you can also earn some as you go along. There Aren't as many levels as call-of duty or there isn't a prestige mode, but it will still take you a while to level up. Another great thing about online is DOG-TAGS. You collect these when you knife people and depending on the rank of the player, you get extra points. These dog tags stay in your stat screens so you can see who you have silently slaughtered. The desturction also continues online, which is a nice touch This game may not be as good as Call of Duty but it's close.

Excellent

A Customer from Amersham, 3rd March, 2010

For those ppl who feel ''call of duty'' is played in too small a theatre of war, then this is for you, much bigger maps give a truer representation of a battlefield. And the massive bonus that you can fly choppers, drive tanks and a whole host of other vehicles. I spent 26 hrs straight playing this game, and im still hooked. i prefer it to cod mod warfare 2. even tho i like cod.

Battlefield Bad Company

FALLconOUTor from , 6th November, 2009

I'll start of with a bang. This game has one of the best stories i've ever played through. There are many moments that you will actually laugh out loud at the hilarious dialogue, both during gameplay and in the cutscenes, and you grow to like the characters in the game, it also has one of the most enjoyable endings to date. Along with that, the guns are very good and there's a good variety as well, i also liked the collectable system as it puts a bit of replayability into the game. The graphics were very good, and i especially liked the character animations when the character reloads e.t.c. But you probably don't want to hear that fine detail stuff! So all I'm going to say is that its a brilliant game and it's definitely a good rental, the online mode will have you hooked after a few matches and the singleplayer is great fun. However the only reason its not five stars is that i don't like the unlock system in multiplayer but thats only a tiny flaw in a massive success of a game.

An excellent game but remember be brave and take risks - you may be the new guy but you are the leader it seems.

A half decent FPS

Maalstan from from Dundee, 13th October, 2009

Fancied trying this after hearing a few folk talking about it, and wasn't too disappointed in the end. A solid shooter that does the job it's supposed to. Not the best in it's genre but certainly not the worst! Voice overs are poor, but graphics are good and game play is a bit more loose than I'm used to, but above average none the less! Definetely worth considering!
