On the night before 9/11, a young man living in Soho takes out an ad for a new room mate for his 2-bedroom apartment. On the day after 9/11, he has 5 messages on his machine from people who want to come see the apartment despite the fact that the neighbourhood is practically shut down. Based on a critically acclaimed stage play, the film explores life in New York after 9/11 through the struggles of one man as he tries to find a room mate and keep his emotional balance during the strange days that followed the devastating attack on the city.

Expected more

A Customer from West Malling, Kent, 13th November, 2008

I expected more from this film. Considering the subject matter (the aftermath of 9/11 on everyday New Yorkers) I thought some depth of character or at least some less wooden acting would have been appropriate. Michael Urie does his usual bit of acting with his eyes, great for Ugly Betty, not so good here. I just didn't care about anybody and that is a fatal flaw in what was a promising film.

boring

A Customer from London, 10th November, 2008

The intention was good, but the movie itself is boring. Made between four walls and with expressionless actors, it doesn't give the sense of sadness and anguish from the events of the 9/11 and a gay story.
