Disappointing point and click mystery

theoclarke from from Ipswich, 23rd February, 2008

There are no serious problems with the game interface; all my disappointment flowed from the lack of coherence or logic within the puzzles. Items are hidden in apparently random locations and characters seek apparently random rewards. So the game becomes a list to exhaust rather than a puzzle to solve. I quite enjoyed walking through the game with someone who knew the solution prompting me whenever they thought the game too random to be 'fair'. Without this help the game would have been a tiresome systematic trawl.

Awful!

painoallen from , 18th March, 2008

I usually like these point and click games after being a massive fan of the Monkey Island, Discworld and Broken Sword games, but this was just slow dull and absolute tosh! The graphics are blocky at best. Thats 45 minutes of my life I will never see again!

agatha christie please make no more

A Customer from scunthorpe, 25th August, 2009

first of all let me say i love point and click adventure games like monkey island, blade runner, sam and max, this game was confusing i had no idea what the story was, the controls were awkward, you have to physically turn the door handles witht the wii remote, and the solutions to puzzles were just random i gave up after an hour, do not rent it complete waste of time. The other agatha christie title is better it has poirot in it.

Dull, dull, dull.....

A Customer from Epsom, 16th July, 2009

I am a massive fan of the old style point and click games, had Monkey Island when I was a youngster, but this just doesn't have the same kind of feel and excitement. The graphics and atmospherics of the game are great, but that's where it ends unfortunately. There just isn't THAT much to do other that walk around loads of corridors making comments about the radiators and ostentatious paintings. It is a game that requires a lot of patience just to get into the swing of things - again, I'm a fan of puzzle games but this just seems too much. You can end up walking from room to room, corridor to corridor and there's nothing to see or do. I honestly wish that I had paid more attention to the other reviews warning me to avoid this game as I've now lost an evening of my life to this very dull 'game'. For the love of God, please ignore the 4 star rating and please ignore this game.
