Everything There To Make A Classic, Ends A Dissapointment

KingWalshington from , 20th March, 2010

One of the films I was looking forward to on my list became a huge dissapointment for me when I watched this failed to be film. As stated, everything was available to make this one to remember with a great storyline, characters and powers, good setting. But the film went back and forth nearly 3 times each making it very boring and no use of any action. The best bit was treated at the end but the climax to it was so small that for me, I couldnt wait till it finished. I sat down and watched this with my son and partner and I saw very little appeal for a family film. In fact, I kept looking at the clock seeing how much time I had till my favourite program Lost. So rather than enjoy a film, I wanted it to end. Not very good for a film rental dont you think.

Could have been so good

SeedyDeedee from , 19th March, 2010

They had a great premise here, but despite the all-star cast, this never quite reaches its potential. You're slapped in the face with the main thrust of the plot before you have a chance to acclimatise and meet the characters, and what follows, while it has an interesting premise, is jarring and predictable. Younger kids will probably enjoy.

Inkheart 2008

lutrasview from , 18th March, 2010

A lovely film for the family especially teenagers. It starts with a father reading a story to his daughter one wet and windy night and strange things happen. The film then jumps forward a number of years and you discover the father has a special gift in bringing characters from books to life, but with consequences. So get your family together, get out the popcorn and sweets and have a great family afternoon/evening together. There is a moral here too, if you don't read to your children, are they missing out ????

Pretty uninteresting

earlkegga from , 16th March, 2010

I was expecting Dragons and magic etc, but all i got was a kind of indiana jones meets round the twist. Its alright and maybe children would like it more so i shouldn't be too hard on it. Its ok.
