Julia Roberts travels to Mongolia in search of the Asiatic wild horse - the Takhi. In recent times these horses have nearly been hunted to extinction, but now the Mongolian people are re-introducing the Takhis to their natural habitat.

Wonderful

Julia Roberts truly showed why she is the top female movie star in the world in this beautiful little documentary. She totally engaged with and loved the people in such an honest and emotionally open way. Her smile captivates and her nature shines through without any makeup at all, and she was so real and so good with the children, playing and really opening up and giving herself to the way of life and the experience. It was a great way of learning about the Mongolian people and the landscape. The music and her commentary was a perfect complement. I would recommend anyone watch this gorgeous little one hour documentary.

Is this for real?

I love Julia Roberts and of course the trade mark smile so I thought I'd give this a go even though it is obviously way out there compared to her normal films. She presents the documentary with a warm glow and appreciation for this nomadic way of life and the film somehow made her real! Worth watching.
Excellent, educational and entertaining

Julia Roberts showing her intelectual side combined with her passion for horses. This documentary tells us about a forgotten empire from thousands of years ago, coupled with the present lives of those nomad Mongolians who were lucky to have Julia Roberts as their house guest. Her genuinely huge smile and hearty laugh reminds you of Pretty Woman in places, whilst her natural beauty shines trough even with no make up on. This made a very nice change!

In The Wild-Mongolian Horsemen with Julia Roberts
A Customer from Hertfordshire, 7th March, 2005
Really good to see how mongolian people live and how Julia copes with their lifestyle, not knowing what they are saying to her, and they don't know what she is saying to them. Also wierd to see how they don't have proper homes, and they're totally isolated from everyone else.

In this very interesting and honest film about nomadic life and horsemanship, we learn as much about Julia Roberts as about the Mongol family she joins.

Julia Roberts meets the Mongols. She shows and gives a good idea how Mongols live. I was very impressed and now know more about their life.
