Nintendo's hugely popular Brain Training series is back on the DS to nobble your neuros this summer 2007 with the cleverly-titled More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima: How Old Is Your Brain? and we are delighted to report that it's business as usual at Kawashima Towers, as the good doctor puts you to the test once again.

When starting a new game, you are given a Brain Age check that determines the age of your brain. Duh! Anyway, every day, you can compete for the high score in any activities that you have unlocked. You also can record the age of your brain once per day. The more players train, the more activities they will unlock. More Brain Training is designed to be played in small doses over an extended period of time.

More Brain Training uses the microphone, stylus and touch screen to great effect once again, and within minutes you'll be berating yourself for shouting 'rock' instead of 'paper' or 'scissors'. Minutes later, you'll be cursing because the way you inscribe a 'g' on screen isn't acceptable to the doc, and you end up putting 30 years on your brain age for spelling out (SPOILER ALERT) 'Janes' instead of 'jeans'. More Brain Training is as infuriating as it is great fun, see? That and the fact that it comes with a sub-£20 price tag, and it really will improve your brain power, makes it a must-have for DS owners.

Dull

A Customer from Kingtown, UK, 18th September, 2009

I didn't like this, it was not very attention grabbing. I was expecting it to be quite a lot different from the original Brain Training, but I was disappointed. The instructions for the games were ambiguous, and difficult to understand.

More Brain Training

I have yet to play the first of these games, however I have been informed that this game is a lot better than the first. It is handy if you don't have a lot of free time but also if you fancy spending AGES on sudoku. I highly recommend this game.
